Nonresident returnsFor nonresident returns, UltraTax CS only calculates the credit for taxes paid to other states if there's a reciprocal agreement (sometimes referred to as a reverse credit agreement) with another state.
Part-year returnsFor part-year returns, UltraTax CS doesn't calculate credit for taxes paid to other states. To calculate the credit, use the force fields on the
screen in the folder of the state's input screens.If columns and fields that are turned off contain calculated amounts, this is because the residency was changed after completing the return (by selecting
, then Client Properties). In this case, you'll still need to use the force fields to calculate the credit for a part-year return.
